My hair falls out in clumps, lumps, and ratales
It feels as brittle as my nails
My knees snap crackle and pop
Like rice krispies
Pain is song that doesn’t stop
My body sings in minor keys
My face is red as a tomato
My cheeks flare up like a volcano
The sun is my foe
It scorches me
From head to toe
I can only be out when it’s
Dark, the sun leaves
A blistering mark
I feel like a vampire in disguise
Hiding from the sun’s
Cruel rise
I crave the moon,
Avoid the flame
Lupus flare up’s
Is a wicked game
My body has not
Been the same
I’m still playing
Life’s unending game.
Words Sting Worse than any bee Their melitten burns Long after it’s said The venom lingers For years from when spoken Numbs your mind And it’s all you hear. The stinger can never Be removed It’s always there It lingers for years. A shadow I can't unhear I hate you buried like a stinger never going away
